Jennifer Krieder

Jennifer Kreider is currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In May 2025 she graduated with her DM in Voice from Indiana University with a minor in Music History. She received a grant for her dissertation research on nineteenth century Italian composer Carlotta Ferrari da Lodi. While at IU, Jennifer was an Associate Instructor in Voice and taught undergraduate Song Literature for four semesters as well as private voice lessons for five years. Currently she is an adjunct voice faculty member at Saint Cloud State University. 

Also an accomplished soprano, Jennifer will perform at the prestigious Aldeburgh Festival in England June 2025. In September 2024 she was a young artist with the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme at Snape Maltings, England. In the summer of 2024, she was a Gerdine Young Artist with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis where she sang the role of Sagredo and jumped into the lead role of Maria Celeste in Philip Glass’ opera Galileo Galilei. Jennifer won second place in the Upper Midwest Region of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition in 2023 after being named a winner of the Minneapolis district. Additionally, in 2023 she premiered the featured role of Mrs. Edith Frank in the world premiere production of Shulamit Ran’s and Charles Kondek’s opera Anne Frank, and covered the role of Erika in Samuel Barber’s Vanessa at the Spoleto Festival USA. Additional roles include Pamina (The Magic Flute), Musetta (La Bohème), Miss Jessel (Turn of the Screw), Nella (Gianni Schicchi), Ramiro (La finta giardiniera), Linfea (La Calisto), and Iolanthe (Iolanthe), among others. Along with her Doctor of Music degree from Indiana University, Jennifer received her Artist Diploma from Indiana University, her MM degree from Rice University, and her BM degree from Westminster Choir College.
