Ellen Boll

Ellen Boll is a collaborative pianist, piano instructor, and vocal coach based in central Pennsylvania. Ms. Boll is studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she is pursuing a graduate diploma in Collaborative Piano in the studio of Anita Pontremoli. Ms. Boll also currently serves on the faculty at Lycoming College as an Adjunct Professor of Piano and staff pianist in addition to maintaining a private piano studio in Williamsport, PA. She frequently coaches and performs with the vocal students at Mansfield University. Ms. Boll worked as a Visiting Guest Professor of Opera Coaching at Penn State University for the Fall 2023 semester and has appeared in performances at Penn State University, Mansfield University, Lycoming College, Florida State University, Bob Jones University, and Wheaton College. As a choral pianist, Ms. Boll has performed with the Williamsport Civic Chorus, the Lycoming College Choir, and the Wheaton College Women’s Chorale. As a young artist, Ms. Boll has performed at La Musica Lirica (Novafeltria, Italy), the Collaborative Piano Institute (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), Camp Musical des Laurentides (Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard, Quebec), Masterworks Festival (Spartanburg, South Carolina), and Credo Chamber Music Festival (Oberlin, Ohio). She also has held the positions of Pianist–Coach for Don Giovanni with Music on Site, Inc. in Wichita, KS and Collaborative Piano Fellow at Musiktheater Bavaria in Oberaudorf, Germany. She performed in Source Song Festival’s 2024 season as part of the MNDuo Program in Minneapolis, MN.  

Ms. Boll holds an M.M. in Piano Accompanying from Florida State University and a B.M. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Wheaton College. Her primary teachers include Anita Pontremoli, John Simmons, Timothy Hoekman, Valerie Trujillo, Karin Edwards, Amanda Gunderson, and Kilsun Kim.
