Caitlin Glastonbury

Baltimore based soprano Caitlin Glastonbury is a performer, storyteller, ensemble collaborator, and arts administrator. As a recitalist, Caitlin is passionate about featuring new music, especially by Nonbinary and Transgender composers. They frequently collaborate with current composers to commission, workshop, and premiere new works, and value opportunities to contribute to this creative process. In 2024, Caitlin commissioned and premiered Steven Naylor's weathering, a song cycle for soprano and piano, which sets texts from their personal journals. This past season, Caitlin presented a series of recitals, including works by Poulenc, Brahms, Saariaho, Rosśa Crean, Schumann, and Katherine Balch, including the premiere of Crean's unaccompanied song cycle, Grotesque. They joined the Peabody Institute Conductor's Orchestra under the instruction of Maestro Marin Alsop as the soprano soloist in Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 4 and Johannes Brahms’s Ein Deutsches Requiem, and performed Norina’s aria from Gaetanno Donizetti’s Don Pasquale this spring. They were a member of the 2025-26 cohort of TENET Vocal Artists Trailblazers mentorship program, and performed frequently with the Peabody Vocal Ensembles and the Emmanuel Choir. Caitlin recently completed a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy, studying with Tony Arnold at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. This summer, they are excited to attend the Source Song Festival, the soundSCAPE Composer and Performer Exchange in Blonay, Switzerland, and the Norfolk Chamber Choir and Choral Conducting Workshop.
