Andrea McGaugh
Mezzo-soprano Andrea McGaugh is a freelance singer based in Rochester, NY. An advocate for collaborative music-making and authentic storytelling in all its forms, Andrea is a dedicated concert soloist, stage performer, recitalist, and ensemble singer. Recent performance highlights include song recitals of George Crumb’s Apparition, Peter Lieberson’s Rilke Songs, Gabriel Fauré’s La chanson d’Ève, and Dominick Argento’s From the Diary of Virginia Woolf with her collaborative partner Gregory Smith and summer residencies with Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Geneva Light Opera, Ohio Light Opera, and SongFest. During the academic year, Andrea serves as the Choral Librarian in the Eastman Ensembles Library where she oversees the school’s choral activities behind the scenes, and enjoys a vibrant musical life in the Rochester area as a singer, arts administrator, teacher, and recreational pedal harpist. www.andreamcgaugh.com
