Biography: Mezzo-Soprano Krista Costin is a versatile and in-demand Twin Cities based performer. 2019-2020 season highlights include a concert of Telemann Chamber Music with the House of Hope Elizabeth Chapel Recital series, Messiah with St. John's Music Series, Bach Christmas Oratorio at House of Hope Presbyterian Church, Le Nozze di Figaro with Opera Readings Project (Cherubino). Past season highlights include solo engagements with Bach Roots Festival (B Minor Mass, St. John Passion), Exultate (B Minor Mass), Dakota Valley Symphony (Messiah), Schubert Club Courtroom Concert Series, and performances of new art song at the 2018 and 2020 Minneapolis SongSLAM competition, co-produced by Sparks & Wiry Cries and Source Song Festival. She participated in the MNDuo program in 2019 of Source Song Festival with pianist Xiang Wei.

Source Moment: The recital of Tamara Wilson and Warren Jones was absolutely one of the best song recitals I've ever seen. Such artistry and vulnerability present in that performance.
